My name is Allison Stanley, and I teach Middle School Social Studies. I have twenty-three years of experience and have taught in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany. I have also worked as a museum educator, designing museum education programs in the United States and abroad. Most recently, I worked as a substitute teacher for Our Lady of Perpetual Help School.
I hold a Masters degree from Michigan State University, studied historic preservation and museum education with the British National Trust, was Florida’s Social Studies Teacher of the Year, and am a fellow of the Colonial Williamsburg Teacher Institute.
My husband’s work has taken us all over the world. As a result, we love to travel. We were married in Yorkshire, England and have two married children and five grandchildren.
Studying Social Studies at OLPH affords students the opportunity to learn how the world has evolved and appreciate and embrace other cultures. It is our hope that students will become good American citizens, while always living and practicing their Catholic faith. I am delighted to be part of this Christ centered community that is Our Lady of Perpetual Help!
