Middle School Discipline Policy

 
Expectations
Students must:
1)  Respect themselves, others and all property.
2)  Complete all assignments and turn them in on time.
3)  Be dressed in the appropriate uniform.
4)  Follow directions the first time they are given.
5)  Come to class prepared.
 
Rewards
For every week that a student does not receive any points, he/she will receive an OLPH buck.  These bucks may be accumulated and used to purchase the following privileges:
       No Uniform Pass                                 $10.00
       Pre-Approved Homework Pass        $ 8.00
       Dessert Bar                                           $ 5.00
 
Consequences
When an expectation is not met, the student will be given a Disciplinary Point(s).  The points will be recorded on a Disciplinary Point Sheet (DPS).  Parents must sign DPS sheets every week.  Points accumulate for a two week period.  If a student accumulates six (6) points in a two week period, they will serve a before-school detention.  Every two weeks the slate is wiped clean.  However, points accumulate throughout the trimester.

Any time a serious offense occurs, a student may be given six (6) points which will result in an automatic morning detention.  This may or may not be accompanied by a suspension.

An accumulation of twenty-five(25) points in one trimester will result in a student serving two hours of community service to OLPH School.  Community Service time will be served from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm on the following dates:   TBD
