USA Science and Engineering Festival - OLPH to Host Nifty Fifty Speaker

OLPH chosen to have Science & Engineering Nifty Fifty speaker, Dr. Marnie Halpren, join us on April 20, 2012.
The ‘Nifty Fifty (times 2)’ are a group of one hundred noted science and engineering professionals who are traveling around the Washington, DC area in the 2011-2012 school year to speak about their work and careers at various middle and high schools. Nifty Fifty is an element of the USA Science and Engineering Festival that will be taking place April 28-29th at the Washington Convention Center.
During her day with the school on the 20th of April, Dr. Halpern will share with students her love of research and how she is using tiny zebrafish to study brain and nervous system development.
