I have been teaching at OLPH since 1999. I started out teaching sixth, seventh and eighth grades. In 2001 I began teaching grades 1-8. It has been a lot of fun teaching all different levels of Spanish. In 2005 I began teaching Middle School Religion. It's hard for me to decide which I like more, teaching Spanish or teaching Religion.
Panama is my native country. I go back to visit as often as I can, which is not often enough. I came to the United States to attend Indiana State University. After I received my Bachelors Degree, I attended the University of Illinois. There I received a Masters and Ph.D. I have taught at the University of Illinois, Southern Colorado University, and North Carolina State University.
John, Paul, Katie and Sarah are my children. John is studying engineering at UMBC, Paul is studying Psychology at UMBC, and Kate and Sarah attend Archbishop Spalding High School. My husband, Tom, is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service. Yes, I often know what the weather will be everyday... only because I go on the internet to NOAA.gov.
It is a joy and a privilege to teach Spanish and Religion at OLPH.
