About Mrs. Heer

Hi! My name is Jan Heer and I teach third grade! I enjoy teaching here at O.L.P.H. The third grade class motto is "Love Bears All Things" and you will know why when you walk into the classroom!

I was raised in Hyattsville, Maryland and knew when I was in the second grade that I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up! I received my undergraduate degree at Frostburg State University and my Master's Degree at Loyola College. I taught the fourth grade before my sons, Charlie and Casey were born. I had a great experience in grade four but I really love teaching the third grade. It is the "beary best" grade of all!

When I am not teaching, my husband Chris and my sons and I love to golf.  We also enjoy skiing in Utah. Our grandson, Beau also loves to play golf and it is hard to keep up with him when we are skiiing together!  We enjoy spending as much time as we can at our oceanside condo in Wild Dunes, South Carolina and our beautiful cottage in St. George's, Bermuda.
